Veep et Big Little Lies sont les autres grands gagnants de la soirée.
Au coeur une sélection particulièrement brillante, The Handmaid's Tale a finalement décroché la timballe des Emmy Awards 2017. La petite série Hulu, que personne n'avait vraiment vu venir en début d'année, a remporté hier soir le prix le plus convoité des Emmy Awards - celui du Meilleur Drama - au nez et à la barbe de Westworld, The Crown ou Stranger Things. Avec 5 trophées majeurs (et 10 au total), elle est la grande gagnante de cette 69e édition, permettant au passage à Elisabeth Moss de remporter (enfin) sa première statuette.
L'autre couronnée de la soirée s'appelle Big Little Lies. La mini-série HBO (en 7 épisodes) repart avec exactement le même nombre de statuette et écrase sa catégorie, grâce notamment à Nicole Kidman et Alexander Skarsgård.
Du côté des comédies, si Donald Glover a bien eu le prix qu'il méritait pour Atlanta, c'est encore et toujours Veep qui domine, offrant en prime, à Julia Louis-Dreyfus, une 6e couronne consécutive de Meilleure actrice.
